MOTOROLA XOOM Android Tablet

Despite the current shifts in the economy, user spending on their electronic devices is presently at an all time high. Some of the justification for this is that small electric gadgets are becoming easier to pay for. What was once thought of as affluent has now shifted into the must-have thing to posess.
The Motorola Xoom Android Tablet is taking tablets to a whole new level.
It comes with a dual core processor, each one running at 1GHz. You also
get a 10.1-in screen and HD display, extremely fast wireless-N Wi-Fi
networking and it offers support for Adobe Flash Player, which means that
you will be able to view the web without any problems. No wonder it won
the Best of Show award at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show.
The Motorola Xoom has Android 3.0 Honeycomb. That is the name given to
the 3.0 platform it runs. Being optimized for devices with larger
screens, such as tablets, the Xoom introduces a virtual and “holographic”
user interface design. Each of the five home screens are customizable,
and you can access any of your live widgets or shortcuts. Each of the
screens features a launcher that you are accustomed to so you will be
able to select your favorites or search the web for something different.
Some of the other exciting features of the Xoom Android Tablet are a 32GB
internal memory, an optional microSD card memory expansion, the wi-fi
networking, Bluetooth, onboard GPS navigation, and access to both
personal and corporate e-mail. The Xoom also features HD 1080p video
playback, as well as an HDMI output for connection to either a compatible
HDTV or monitor and a 10-hour battery for wi-fi internet browsing.
The Xoom comes with 2 cameras, one on the front and one on the back. The
back camera is a 5MP camera to take pictures just as you would with a
cell phone. The camera on the front is great to set up video
conferencing.
Available accessories for the Motorola Xoom Android Tablet, besides the
charger are also available. You can have a “smart dock” which not only
will charge your Xoom, but also allow you to listen or watch video while
it is charging. The Speaker HD Dock will allow you to send whatever you
are listening to or watching directly to your television without having
to use external speakers.
So what do you get with the Motorola Xoom? In the box is the Xoom
handset, charger, a data cable, quick start guide and user manual. There
are loads of Apps that you can get that will work on this system also.
You have the Kindle App for Android, where you have access to over
700,000 Kindle books, MP3 for Android where you can look for, purchase
and play the music YOU want to listen to, and of course, the Amazon App
for Android, where you can search for and purchase millions of products
through Amazon, and the list goes on.
Here are what others are saying about the Motorola Xoom Android Tablet:

I played with several types of tablets side by side and because the Xoom has twice the amount of RAM, it made things like Google Maps run better. I was really taken with the browser of the Xoom. It is a quality built product with great flexibility. The cameras on the front and rear are fantastic. The graphics and display are nice and you don’t need to have iTunes to set it up and use it.

I currently own two other tablets and a pc. I wanted something with a longer battery life since the tablet pc lasts only 5 hours. The Motorola Android Xoom also has a larger viewing screen making it easier to read a lot of documents at work.

Right away I was able to play video games on my Xoom. I can’t say enough good things about this product. I know some others mentioned bugs with Honeycomb, but I haven’t had any issues. The Flash support is great. It helps to enhance your web browsing. This is one well put together piece of electronics.

The Android Xoom experience is different from any of the “other”
platforms. What makes it better is that the desktop is totally
customizable. You can drag and drop and set everything up the way you want. I have also found that new Apps are being introduced almost daily, and you can expand what you have to your heart’s content. Although, what the Xoom comes with is great by itself also. The cameras are fantastic. There is a 5MP on the back of the unit and a 2MP on the front if you plan on doing any video conferencing. I would highly recommend the Xoom.
